UIM International, originally known as United Indian Missions, Inc., was founded to establish biblically-based indigenous churches among Native Americans in the southwestern part of the U. S. These churches are built on the Scriptures and function within the cultural orientations of the native people. UIM focuses its ministry on these people groups in North America by evangelizing, baptizing and discipling as taught in the New Testament.
Trinity Evangelical Church is blessed to support the ministry of Ann Kontz with UIM at Broken Arrow Bible Ranch (BABR). Located in the rugged high country of Vanderwagen, New Mexico, BABR rests on an old 80+ acre ranch from which a year-round facility for Native American youth camping has emerged. This camp reaches out to many tribes in Arizona and New Mexico. As the Camp Administrator, Ann does most of the correspondence and bookkeeping. She coordinates the schedule for the off-season activities, planning, purchasing, and cooking for Christian groups using the ranch facilities. During the summer camping program, she supervises the kitchen and office.
When camp is not in session, Ann teaches women's Bible studies as well as being actively involved in the ministry of Gallup Baptist Church. She has four children: Kathy, who is married to Tom Sowers, Paul, Adam, and Rebekka. Remember Ann in your prayers as the Lord continues to bless her ministry and family.
