Missions Banquet Jeanes Scholarship Prayer Schedule Missions Emphasis Weekend: March 10-11, 2007 Each year the Trinity Missions Committee sponsors a Missions Emphasis Weekend to highlight to the congregation the missions ministries that we support. The weekend features either a missionary or missions project, or an area of missions that may include a number of related individuals and organizations. The weekend consists of the Missions Banquet on Saturday evening with a featured speaker, followed by Sunday’s services and Sunday School classes emphasizing the Great Commission. This year we will highlight all 14 of the international missions ministries supported by Trinity. The Missions Banquet will include displays depicting the 14 ministries, a gourmet meal served by the Missions Committee and the Youth Ministry Team that will go to Romania this summer, and a featured speaker. Our banquet speaker is Reverend Doug Birdsall, longtime missionary to Japan and now director of the J. Christy Wilson Missions Center at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. A graduate of Gordon-Conwell, Rev. Birdsall returned to the school in 1999 to help establish the Wilson Center. He also serves as president of Asian Access/Life Ministries, an organization that focuses on evangelism and church multiplication. In addition, he is International Chairman of the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization. Rev. Birdsall is a graduate of Wheaton College, Gordon-Conwell, and Harvard University. He and his wife, Jeanie, have three children, Stacia, Judd and Jessamin, who were all born and reared in Japan. Please join us for a wonderful evening of vision casting for international missions featuring excellent dining, sweet fellowship and a powerful word from a renowned authority on world missions.
